Back to School

That’s right. Tomorrow, I head back to the classroom for some education for the first time since graduating from college in 1996! Of course, some of you all know that I did take several years to get a couple professional designations, but all of those were self-study and at my own pace. Tomorrow will be an in-class experience that will last all day (8 or 9 hours) and will continue both Saturdays and Sundays for 3 weekends.

I cannot say that I am looking forward to getting back into the habit of reading and studying, but the end result should be worth it. I am enrolled in a TESOL/TEFL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification course, which will help me to be able to secure a job in a high school teaching English (or depending on the school – Math or American Studies). I am not sure if this will open doors for me to be back in Romania this coming Fall – though that would be great, but it is something needed if I am to pursue teaching as a job while I am over seas.
